Berbatov better goal scorer than Ibrahimovic, Rooney according to IFFHS's ranking




Dimitar Berbatov has left behind himself a whole host of famous names in the prestigious International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) for the best scorer of the XXI century. The bulgarian occupies 12th place in the updated edition of the ranking for the period 01.01.2001 - 06.30.2012 and left behind  stars like  Zlatan Ibrahimovic (14th position), Wayne Rooney (17), Diego Forlan (27), Filippo Inzaghi (31), Radamel Falkao (33) Michael Owen (35), Robin van Persie (52) Fernando Torres (55), Ronaldo (65) and a bunch of other famous strikers.

For the rankings are taken into account only international goals in the following meetings at national and club level: matches for the national "A" teams, Olympic tournament championships, and participated in continental club competitions (UEFA Cup, Champions League), participation in continental Supercups, and official matches played between the continental club champions.

The indisputable leader in the ranking is the former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, who was the first player to reach the incredible number of 100 "international" goals. He is followed by Miroslav Klose (90) and Ruud van Nistelrooy (87). Dimitar Berbatov is 12, with 72 hits.
